As the weather heats up in Perth, we are reminded that beach season is soon. In the peak of summer, the temperature reaches 40º C every so often with an average maximum of 35º C. It’s easy to say that the typical Australian goes to the beach quite often during these times.
There are many beaches along the west coast near Perth city. But the main attraction is Cottesloe Beach. Although it is often tourists that visit this particular beach, locals also find their way here due to the lively atmosphere, the picturesque Indiana Tea House, and the bars, shops and cafés along the road (my favourite being red spoon).
Although the swim was absolutely freezing (as it is quite often anytime of the year) I adore the beach would never pass up a trip. Because after all, Australia has the best beaches in the world.
